Indian River Shores sits on the barrier island directly north of Vero Beach, almost entirely gated, low-density communities strung along A1A between the ocean and the lagoon. Pools here are usually well built and well equipped — the work is less about rescuing them and more about keeping salt air from eating the equipment and keeping the water right while owners are away.
The town empties out in summer and fills back up between October and Easter. That seasonal swing is the thing that catches people out: a pool that is spotless in March can be a problem by August if nobody is watching it.
Ocean-side properties get salt on everything. Pump motors, heater cabinets, ladder anchors and salt cell plates all corrode faster within a few hundred yards of the beach. We check and rinse hardware on the pad rather than waiting for it to seize.
High evaporation plus top-ups concentrate calcium in the water, and that shows up as scale on the tile line and inside heaters. Watching calcium hardness and the saturation index here is not optional.
Most communities need a gate code, a vendor pass or an entry on the guard list. Set it up once and we handle the rest — we are used to working inside HOA rules and to keeping service quiet and tidy.

Skim, brush, vacuum, empty the baskets and balance the water — every week, same day.

You can, but not to zero. We usually keep weekly service through the summer for unscreened pools, because that is when heat, rain and algae do their worst. Some owners drop to bi-weekly plus a mid-season check — we will tell you honestly which one your pool can take.
It shortens the life of anything with metal in it — motor housings, unions, rails, heater cabinets and salt cell plates. Rinsing the pad and catching corrosion early is a lot cheaper than replacing a pump every few years.
